(UPDATE) Chrystal Mangum has now murdered someone. Just consider the reaction of these people. Consider they’re picking sides based on stereotypes that a black woman is the eternal victim, and the white man is eternal predator. They always fall back on the idea that when their pet cause is shown to be a hoax, that it doesn’t matter because “racism” and “classism” and “H8″ is still rampant. That society operates on the premise of “white supremacy”. It never occurs to most of them, as they look around at each other, that they’re mostly white, and they are frothing bigots. It doesn’t seem to matter that blacks, as a group, a quite illiberal in their thinking and actions and social groups.
When we go down the list of the “Gang of 88″, we see a quite telling pattern… that is the departments that the signers are part of. Cultural Anthropology, Women’s Studies, African American Studies, Sociology, Romance Studies, English, Literature, Art, DANCE STUDIES?!
I’m sure it’s insensitive for me to point out that the list is populated with women who have hyphenated their last names upon marriage, jews and Spanish names. Going through the list here and there I found at least half have written books or papers with the word “Colonialism” in the title. Also, the first “Women’s Studies” name I came across that wasn’t hyphenated was for a woman that wikipedia says “She is open about her homosexuality, and is a radical social constructionist.”
